The logo for the historic house museum, the Morris-Jumel Mansion celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2015. The modernized logo simplifies the hand drawn logo of the house into graphic shapes and pairing it with typography that reflected the Mansion’s past.

Background


As Manhattan’s oldest surviving residence, the Morris-Jumel Mansion museum showcases American life by preserving, collecting, and interpreting history, culture, and the arts to engage and inspire its diverse audiences.

The Morris-Jumel Mansion, located in Upper Manhattan, strives to empower audiences to create relevant contemporary connections to the histories of the Mansion, its collections, the land, and its people, past and present.
